Spring camp

Ok ya'll, have a question...

We are keeping our trailer at a campground for four weekends. We'll be there just for the weekends, not all week. But the TT will stay there. Sooo....

Should I leave the shore cable connected for my fridge? Really don't wanna haul food and such back and forth every weekend. I guess I'll just unhook from water and sewer and bring the slides in. Tidy up the site, etc. But anyway, shore power? Leave it connected or disconnect?

I feel like a

And oh H3LL yeah, I'm locking my EMS.

TIA!

We leave ours plugged in at home all season, same thing really. The fridge is always on and we even leave the A/C on 80 or so when it gets really hot. Been doing it with all 3 campers we've had and it hasn't hurt one yet that I can tell. I'd kill the water and leave it plugged in if it were mine.

As long as the battery is connected to the parasitic loads, leave it plugged in.

Personally, my TT is plugged in 100% of the time it is at home during the season.

As long as the RV is level, leave the fridge on AC. You'll be able to leave the semi-perishables in there and it'll be real nice to have a cold beer waiting when you arrive!

As a seasonal site camper, I leave the shore power connected and ON from 5/15-columbus day in October (residential fridge). I also leave the sides out the entire time. When I leave for the week, I turn the water off (but still connected), water heater off, HVAC off, propane off, ice maker off, awning in. Sewer remain connected all season, black tank valve is closed of course, but I leave the grey water valve open all season

By not being there however you may be prone to failures and not be around to disconnect things etc... There is also the thief problems associated with this plan...

One of those darned if you do and darned if you don't things I guess...

I most definitely would not leave my Honda 2KW generator or any other valuables inside my unattended trailer haha... A strong #2 blade screwdriver will open most TT doors... Its truly that easy to gain entrance...

I would treat it like my friend does with his seasonal. Water off, propane on (backup for the frig), electrical connected, Frig set to Auto, Slide outs left out. Awning brought in, campsite picked up. Stabilizers down, tighten up periodically.

Most importantly enjoy it for the next four weeks.
