Stabilizer Jack Extension Length

Anybody happen to know the extension length of the stock stabilizer jacks on the Jayco 264BHS. I'm sure it's the same as some of the other similar models (ie 26, 267). I want to order a set of Husky ones and they come in 24" and 28" extension. I was hoping to order tonight but it's raining so I'm not going out to measure the stock ones. I figure the ones that extend 24" are enough but want to make sure. My plan is to install a set just in front of the axles to add a little more stability to the setup while camping.

Thanks.

I have 3 steps on my TT and my jacks are 24" if you have 4 steps I would order 28" jacks. I think the less the jacks are extended the more stability you have.

Your so welcome and you got me thinking now about those28" jacks. Mine are extended a good 3/4s of the way out and I still get a little rocking and I just can't get use to it.

Stabilizer Jack Extension Length

Do u place any kind of block under the jacks? I have 4x4 wood blocks I put under mine so they don't extend too much. It helps a lot and I don't have much movement but read about others adding a set in front of the axles (so midway between existing on mine). I figure they are not expensive and if it helps it would be worth it... I will let u know what I think if I do this mod this season... Again thanks.

I put a Lego pad under each jack and it seems like every other day I can give at least 2 of the 4 about 1/4 to almost 1/2 crank.

Tunce, I went ahead and ordered 24" Husky jacks from CW. I measured and the 28" would have stuck out too far on the sides. I got them today. They are much beefier than the stock jacks. I hope to install them tomorrow and test them as soon as we go camping. I'll keep you posted and I'll try to get some pics. I may even swap the stock ones out next season...

And in regards to how far you have yours extended, maybe try some 4x4 lumber. I use those and the pretty much level sites we have stayed at, I only extend my jacks about 6" or so...
