You should go up on the roof twice a year to inspect for damage and the condition of the caulk. Water damage is the number 1 thing that destroys RVs.
If you want to minimize the caulking maintenance apply eternabond over all the caulking. Then you really only have to check for (tree) damage periodically
Just wondering if this applies to the Jayflight? I would like to touch up some caulking around the antenna and wondered if it was strong enough to walk onto the roof to do so. This would also be useful to know if I do a rubber roof treatment (do any of you do this?)
That's a great suggestion. I have been repairing caulk as needed. I owe you a cup of coffe!
