Storage

So this question goes out to the folks with the U shape dinette, with the extenders on the ends. Has anyone removed the cushions and wood from under the seats and use it as storage. If not do you think it would hurt anything.

We have this type dinette Haven't stored anything in there, but don't see that it can hurt anything. The wood bottom and cushion take up most of the room, so if not planning to use it as seat extension, just rmove and store them and use area for storage. Can't hurt.

I have the same setup and the seat closest to the bedroom up front,I use for my tool box and other items needed for repairs ,my tool box is about 20lbs and there are no problems with the seat box.I put my seat cushions and board under the couch.

We removed the wood & cushions right off the bat and put in the attic. We have stuff stored in both sides, a folding 1 step stool, some camping books, TV cable, DVDs and other odd stuff. No problems at all.

We have the same type of dinette. I use it for storing pots and pans on one side and large mixing/serving bowls, cookie sheets, cake pans and trays on the other side. Has worked well for over 2 yrs. The only downside of them are the snaps. They can be a real pain.
