Storage under dinette bench/slide question

Planning on snowbirding to Ca. Next week. How much weight can be safely stored under the dinette /slide bench seat compartment? We have about to cases of canned goods stored there, About 40 lbs, max.

I wouldn't do it because when the slide is in its off the floor about 2" and the floor of the slide will bow but the dinette won't and the dinette base will strip out where its screwed to the floor strip. I would be comfortable ( when traveling) to put the cases on the floor and when I reach my destination I'd put them back under the dinette.

Interesting topic. I keep my slides out from April to October at my seasonal site. During this time we keep lots of stuff (pots/pans) in the supplied plastic bins under the dinette seats. I was afraid of the weight when it came time to retract the slide, so I removed everything from under there, brought the slide in, then put everything back under there. In addition, I then collapsed the table to the 'bed position' and put some linens and other lite items in totes on top.

Are you saying this additional weight may affect the slide (bow it) over the winter to the point of the slide giving me possible problems when I go to put it out next spring? Total weight of everything is probably around 50/60lbs.

Like I did when I retracted the slide this fall, I plan on removing these items from the slide prior to moving it out. Once out, I plan on then putting the items back under the dinette seats

I really do not know. However, personally, I would leave most of it at home, as CA do have grocery stores. I have heard of people so over loading their campers with food, that they have caused issues, such as blown tires, and blown engines (MHs)
