Strange speaker issue

I just noticed this the other day - it's probably been like this since new...

My Jensen head unit has the speaker selections A (inside) B (outside) and A+B (both).

When A is selected, the music plays inside only, but the beeps that occur when changing radio station, etc. are heard through both the inside and outside speakers.

Any ideas what's going on???

Very poor software engineering!

The controls for A, B or A+B control the flow of music (radio, MP3, TV audio, etc.).

The 'keyclicks' are not music, therefore are not subject to the speaker controls.

Somebody in the the software testing department should have been fired long ago!

Yeah I'm trying to decide if it's a problem in the head unit itself or if it wasn't wired properly. Going to see if Jensen can do anything about it.

Yep. I've got a 2011 Starcraft with the very same problem. Really silly design, isn't it?

It's ridiculous. Jensen is proposing removing the unit, shipping it to them at my cost, and bench testing it. If they don't find anything wrong they ship it back to me. If it's a design flaw, which it sounds like it is, it will be a complete waste of time and money. They should upgrade to a newer model free of charge that doesn't have this issue.

Can anyone else with a AWM910 (orange backlighting) confirm theirs does this as well?
