Yeah, I would have bought one off of the lot but the 23MBH are pretty hard to come by especially with the options we wanted. I still don't understand how a production factory cannot guarantee a finish date. Production is all about efficiency, if you aren't meeting dates then you are losing money. It just doesn't make any sense to me.

Makes no sense. I do not understand how they offer the next year of rvs for sale without a brochure, price list, or any information. I am sure it is not a surprise to them when they will be coming out.

Question I have, was that date really a guess from the dealer or a production date assigned by factory. I get a company vehicle every two years, and can tell you there is a big difference between the initial target date and the factory assigned build date.

Also if a supplier has a slip and misses a delivery date that will cascade. In my business if what we forecast differs greatly from real orders we can be short on certain parts. for example if we expect 100 orders with 20% picking certain option, but end up getting 120 orders with 25% picking that option we go into a backlog hold status on later orders until we can get resupplied.

Ours was a guess from the dealer, but you would think they would have some idea of delivery.

Ours was an estimate by the dealer as well with a maximum of 8 weeks, which would be the 15th. But two weeks ago the dealer got an update from Jayco that it would come off of the line on the 8th. Now its the 22nd, I understand delays, etc; but this much variable is crazy.

Well one of the variables is delivery from the factory to where you buy it .... the farther away from Indiana the longer it could take... my dealer was in Columbus Indiana so when mine was finished they went up and picked it up for me.... transport companies this time of year get slammed with new units from not only jayco but every other manufacturer in Indiana which has quite a few.

Hey folks, Im looking at my order sheet and have the following info...

Serial (is this the VIN?) 1UJBJ0BP6G14C0054
required date: 5/26/15
estimated ship: 5/7/15
ship date: (empty)

is it a good sign I have the VIN already? is that an indication of it being under construction? This is my first jayco and my first new RV. I guess I could call my salesman. I just figured I would see what type of info I could get off the forum here.

thanks!

I got my VIN 10 days ago and my date changed thereafter. I don't think it directs relates to a delivery date.

We've always just bought from the lot because I am an impatient person who hates to wait for anything. I am now wishing I would have just looked to find one in stock somewhere.

I ordered on 4/1 as well. I was just told by dealer it was scheduled to be completed by the end of May. My CA deliver by date is 7/1. Seems like the big variable is the shipping.

Question Almost a 6% Jump in Price????

Yes I have.

anyone ever use rvdirect.com? I got a quote on 4/28/2015 for a 2016 White Hawk 32 DSBH for $27,000. I priced it out today with the same options and it was $28,565 That's almost a 6% jump in price and of course now the wife wants to add solid surface countertops (MSRP $500) and I want the Front Molded Cap w/LED Headlights (MSRP $779.)

This price is from 05/05/2015

We started out with a max budget of $25,000 out the door (tax, tags, etc.)

Now we are looking at the Jay Flight 29QBS, with the fiberglass option they look similar to the White Hawks but are definitely heavier.

I noticed someone posted the 2016 White Hawk Floor Plans on this thread. Does anyone have the 2016 Jay Flight Floor Plans PDF?

Thanks

My quote was through RVDirect.com and went up $2500 from 5/2/15 to 5/5/15, we ended up ordering with Gillette RV in Michigan. I'll have to drive a little farther for pick-up but it will save me $2000! Give Kim Martin a call, she was extremely helpful and was able to get me a Eagle 324BHTS at a great price!

The dealers should be able to access that info on-line. When we were shopping last year the dealer pulled up the new floorplans etc on his computer.

Called Jayco Order Mgmt today with my VIN, they stated that it is off the line due to parts shortages for the 2015/2016 changeover. It is one of the first 2016's coming of the line.

Major bummer, no estimated completion date. have to check back on weekly basis.

After doing some more research I am pretty sure that is why mine got stalled too. We already had to cancel our first major vacation of the year due to Jayco not being on time. Argh.
