First off, I spend most of my time deep in the woods of the Pacific Northwest with my Baja 185RB. There are all kinds of creepy sounds out in these wildernesses. These are not campgrounds, I boondock way out there, so these are remote areas that are alive with dangerous animals. I often see cougar and bear scat in the morning right outside my door as if to say, "leave now!"
One night, dark and raining.......I hear this "Grrrrrrrrrrr" sound! There it is again..."Grrrrrrrrrrr".....it was NOT coming from outside!....it was coming from INSIDE!!! Aaahhhhhhhhaahhh! What the *&%$# going on!?? I just covered my head with my blanket and tried to ignore it.
Is sounded like the scary sound in the movie GRUDGE. Do you remember the scratching grrrrrrrr sound in that movie when that EVIL spirit came around? It sounds exactly like that! ERRRRRRrrrrggggggggrrrr! LOL!
I could not track it down, till I finally got back into town. It was the microwave! After researching it online, others have reported the same thing in microwave ovens. It is a bad power supply or capacitor about to die. It may be from me running the microwave off the generator so much. On eco boost, it has to "ramp-up" and it may be damaging it. No worries, microwaves only cost $99.
It makes me wonder if that night deep in the woods, dark and rainy....if the microwave would have growled at me, then caught fire! THAT would have really freaked me out as an EVIL microwave!
