Question Tipsy Slideout

We just purchased a new to us 2005 23B Jay Feather Hybrid that has a small slideout couch that also folds down for sleeping. My question is if anyone else has a similar slideout and does it tip back in when you sit down on the couch (especially with the bed folded down). The pre-owned dealer I bought it from tells me it is normal but it doesnt seem like Jayco would not design something like this. The top tips in 2-3" if your weight is on the front of the couch or bed and then slams back down when you get up off. Any ideas while we look for another service location to take a look at it? Also, my TV is a Ram 1500 that seems to pull it just fine without weight dist. or sway bar. Any other experiences out there or suggestions whether or not to put weight dist. bars on? Thanks

I am pretty sure this is not right... IF the slideout moves when extended then weather can get in. I would take it to a Jayco dealer for adjustment, and see if the seller will pay for it or part of it.

Hi Seneca and welcome to the Jayco Owners Forum! Congrats on your "new" Jayco! Hope your issue with the slide is resolved before there is damage. Not sure about the WDH, but if your truck/trailer isn't level with each other, you may need the WDH. There is a formula you can use where you measure distance of wheel well before and after hitching up, but I haven't time to post it now. Maybe someone else can?
