Tire Changing Help

Greetings All,
We picked up our Whitehawk 28 DSBH about 6 weeks ago, and I have found this forum to be a great help with ideas and knowledge.
One thing that I am going to have done is balance the tires on the trailer. I started to jack the TT up today using a 3 1/2 ton floorjack. I positioned it under the axle where the springs attach. As I started to lift if, I noticed the axle bowing. So, I let it back down, and tried to determine a better location. I did not see one. Any ideas? Where should the jack be placed?
How far do you let the axle bow? And will it retain the bow when you let it down?
Looking for advice.

Place the jack under the spring equalizer between the tires, it will lift both tires at the same time.

My Jayflight manual says to place the jack under the frame, either just behind or just in front of where the springs hang. It specifically states not jacking on the axle-spring area or the balancer between the springs, or damage will result. I jacked mine on the frame behind the spring hanger with a bottle jack. Had to use some stout wood blocks under the jack to get enough height.

I use a ramp and it lifts the other tire off the ground..I bought from one of my tenants that operated a RV repair shop in one of my complexes that I manage.

Ramps work great, and I carry one in case of a flat on the road. When I wanted to balance the wheels, I wanted all 4 wheels off at the same time. That's when I went the bottle jack route, along with a jack stand. Just need to be cautious how it's done.

Thanks for the additional info. I didn't get a chance to get back to removing the tires today. It looks like a bottle jack will be the way to go. I was going to look at the manual and see where it suggested the jack go.
