Tire Size ?

Our new Jayco came with junk tires on it, It came with ST 175/80R/13 6 ply rated tires, the name on the tires are Power King - Tow Max.

I am gone to replace them with Maxxis M8008 ST Radials.

Here is my question. As I said it has ST 175/80R/13 6 ply rated tires, Do you see any problems gone with 185/80R13 6 ply rated tires.

As long as you have the clearance I do not see why not.

Ideally you want 3" clearance top of tire to wheel well, and 1" between the tires with twin axles....., under loaded conditions of course.

I will agree with what is said above... just be aware that the wider tire will cost you more in fuel economy..... (not much I suspect but will cost you more)

With the bigger tire I would lose 5/16" clearance at top of tire to wheel well, and about 3/16" on the backside of the wheel well.

Check your load range as well, most ST tires have a limited speed rating. If you exceed that rating your looking at a lot of damage

What RV model came with 13 inch tires?

Well, my new Swift SLX 145 RB has ST 175/80R13 load range C tires. I really don't like how the total capacity of both tires is less than the gross max weight of the trailer. I assume they get away with this by figuring the excess is actually part/all of the toungue weight. Still....
