Trailer bounces with jacks down
We have a 2016 27DSRL that came with electric jacks. Even with the jacks down, we can clearly feel the trailer bounce or wiggle with every footstep. That never happened on our previous trailer (which was shorter, and had manual scissor jacks). We bought some additional scissor jacks to put in the middle, but have not permanently attached them yet (still moving them around to see if different placement matters). They help some, but I'm still surprised at how much it bounces with simple footsteps. Is this normal? Any advice?

We have the Lippert self adjusting jacks on our trailer, I assume that you have the same. They were the biggest disappointment and waste of money we have had in a long time. In order to self adjust side to side, a carriage must slide back and forth under the trailer. Even though the jacks are down and tight, the trailer rocks on the carriage. I can't imagine a worse design. The style with a motor for each jack is much better. We purchased a set of very heavy duty manual scissor jacks and place them just ahead of the axles. Much reduced bounce. We have not permanently attached them, I slide them in place using these brackets, and store the jacks in the pass through. https://www.amazon.com/Mounting-Brac.../dp/B005ZI03GS

The longer the trailer the more the bounce will be felt.

X-chocks between the wheels will help, adding another stabilizer jack right in front of the wheels will also help. There are a few more options too.

We ordered the stabilizer option with our TT, big mistake... they never came close to stabilizing the TT. Went to Harbor Freight and picked up 4 heavy duty scissors jacks.. moved them around the frame until I found the best locations for them. I then lowered the stabilizers and they keep the ends of the TT from bouncing. The frame is so long and the middle sits on the wheels/suspension, so it is free to flex.. not any more!!!

Problem is not unique to Jayco
Your complaint is seen on many forums. It is annoying and you can find suggestions to help but I don't think you will ever find a 100% cure for the bouncing. If you do please let us all know!

We went LONG with our newest camper and I am feeling your pain. I can tell when one of my kids rolls over in their bunk!! We added jacks under our slides (2 for each slide) (along with x-chock between wheels) and that has helped dramatically. Good luck!

Cement blocks.... Evenly spaced under the frame. Lol About the only thing that would eliminate 100% of the bouncing. Somewhat impractical though.
Steve & Nancy,
As mentioned, the practical solution is another set of scissor jacks just in front of the front tires. And possibly X-chocks.
Good luck!

Here are a couple photos of my experimenting with jacks right in front and back of the axles. These are the Camco screw type jacks that are about $20 per pair.
I found that 1 jack on either side right behind the axle took away about 95% of the sway and bouncing, so that's what we do now.
Only put on enough pressure to prevent being able to move the jacks laterally. We aren't lifting the trailer here.

Here is a link to the scissor jacks I purchased. They are the sturdiest ones I could find.

We have movement anytime someone does anything. 4 manual corner jacks and just added x-chocks this year. The x-chocks are of little or no help. Thinking one or two more manual jacks in center of TT.
I also have an much older 26' TT (Taurus) on hunting land that has the cement blocks on each corner, yes completely stable, but as noted earlier very impractical for most...

I put 4 of these underneath in addition to the 4 stabilizer jacks that are part of the trailer. I have 38FDDS.. It is looong!

X Chocks helped a lot with our 30ft trailer. Cut down on a lot of movement. We also used to use a king pin stabilizer, but haven't used it on this unit.

THANKS for all the replies, help and pictures - looks like there are solutions!
Thanks for the feedback and comments everyone! It appears I'm not the only one not happy with the electric jacks that came with the trailer, but the idea of adding additional jacks appears to be sound, and I'll keep experimenting with that to find the right placement. Thanks again to everyone who helped!

Lavatory design Issue
We purchased a 2015 Jayco White Hawk TT almost a year ago and noticed a very particular situation with the location of faucet in the lavatory unable us to use it properly.
On this unit the faucet in the bath is practically un-useful. We are practically unable to wash our hands because faucet neck is too short and close to the sink.
We contacted Jayco and they declined our request to replace lavatory/faucet.
I have included pictures taken from our 2015 TT as well as picture of the 2016 Model where you can see Jayco has fixed a poorly designed lavatory/faucet.

I use the concrete blocks on our seasonal site here in the Georgia mountains. I have removed most of the TT movement, but I need to re-adjust them every few weeks due to the blocks settling. (Yes they are straight... had to go out and look at them after I posted the picture)

Bouncing TT
I am disappointed in how much my Whitehawk 27rbok bounces. I bought the TT new in March 2016. The stabilizer scissor jacks don't stop the rocking. I don't know if I can use x chocks. The tires are 16 inches apart. I owned a 2006 27 ft TT I traded (not a Jayco) for several yrs and never experienced stabilizer issues. I have a call in to the service department to get the stabilizer Jacks checked out.

Try a set of the stack jacks as shown in post 12 of this thread. Place one in front of the wheels on each side of the trailer, it will help with the bouncing.

Take a look at this post. These work great! They are easy to make and will get rid of 99% of the bounce and shake you are experiencing.
Let me know how it goes!

the stabilizers are very minimal to stop bounce and movement because they are only on the 4 corners and leave the middle with the axles to move and bounce. I added 2 scissor jacks in front of the axles with adjustable bars attached from them to about 3 foot in front of them on the frame. I also made a tongue jackstand that stabilizes the tongue jack
