check to see if the breakaway pin was pulled out or part way out also try disconnecting camper battery and don't connect the wiring harness to the TV and try pulling out the driveway DON'T drive on any roads without the trailer wiring being connected

another thing you may want to try is have the camper hooked up to the TV and jack up one side and see if the wheel spins freely then do the same to the other side.

should be mounted on the frame behind the coupler look for a thin steel cable and follow it You will see where it plugs into the breakaway switch If its missing that would be your problem

I'm thinking the breakaway switch is closed, probably the pin is not all the way seated. Try pulling the pin out, then replacing it and make sure it is all the way in. When that pin is pulled, it closes the switch, which directly connects the battery to the brakes, causing them to be engaged.

As stated before it sounds as if your breakaway switch may have inadvertently gotten pulled out OR your trailer connection is improperly wired and possibly you're sending a full 12 volts to the brakes when you have the TV hooked up and powered up. Hope you find the problem so you can salvage you trip!

Safe travels!

Thank you for the update and glad you have it fixed.
I would take a guess and say you backed the trailer into the driveway and it may have happened when making a sharp turn/maneuver. and the cable caught and pulled the pin. You may not have noticed it while backing up as much as you would going forward. Make sure that you connect the breakaway cable correctly and leave enough slack so it doesn't get caught when making turns.

One end of that breakaway "key" should be teathered to your tow vehicle so that if the trailer come disconnected from your tow vehicle, the trailer brakes will engage on battery power

You said you found it in the driveway...... That tells me it wasn't

Actually the tip of the pin had a loop which was broke...and on the light hookup was a lone zip tie...I'm thinking that was attached to the loop on the pin...to keep from loosing the pin ?
