Trailer Brakes

I have a 2010 Jayco Autumn Ridge. Do both axles have brakes, or just one? I was checking the wheel temps and only the front axle was warm. Do I need to pull this apart and adjust? Or does just the front axle have brakes. It is in storage is while I ask

I'm not familiar with your particular unit, but I'm guessing there are brakes on both axles. If you look underneath at the back of the axles, the brake drums should be visible on all four wheels. The brakes are self adjusting, so check for broken wires, no power to them when brakes applied, worn brake magnets, shoes, etc. Look for simple things first, and then for more involved problems, especially if the TT has been towed a lot over the last seven years. Good luck with the project.

Second the checking out the wiring. I wouldn't be surprised if your brakes are NOT self adjusting. A lot of them are not, and require adjusting after a lot of use.
