I do not "lift" my tires off the ground on my TT. I tried it once and was not comfortable when the tires were raised off the ground and the trailer moved slightly. It makes the unit unstable and there is no way to chock the tires that are in the air. I utilize 8"x12" rubber pads that I made from a horse stall mat. I have about 36 of them, iirc. They are 3/4" high and are stackable. They are rubber so they do not slip or move when rolling up on them. If I need more than 3 high I will step them. Then I can still chock the tires, the weight is held by the frame and all is safe IMO.
