Question Trailer lites...

Does anybody have any idea what would cause the turn signals and brake lights on the trailer not to work? All of the running lights work, but not the signal or brake lights. I have checked the tow vehicle, and they work at the 7 pin connector. Not looking foward to crawling around under this beast to trace the wires...I'm a fairly large guy at 300 pounds! Bulbs in the rear look good, but I'm going to replace this weekend anyway. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

George Before changing to bulbs, check the power at the sockets, that'll tell ya if you have to go underneath the " beast" Larry

Check the connection at your 7-pin connector on the TT side, may have a little corrosion building up on the TT connector terminals.

This happened to my father-in-law on a boat trailer, TV lights all worked but brake light on trailer didn't. We played with it for an hour than we checked fuse under the hood of TV and found fuse was blowing.

Check those bulb sockets. I found both of mine corroded and not working well - a quick clean up and they were back to normal.

Wanted to thank everyone for the help! Checked everything before crawling underneath, and turned out to be the bulb sockets were corroded pretty good. Got my needle files out and cleaned them right up, now everything is working perfectly! Actually kinda glad to be unemployed so that I can work on this thing and get it back in great shape!!! Thanks again!!!!
