Trailer Tires

recently had a set of stock LT235/75R15C tires stolen off a camper. What are the disadvantages of using 235 75 15 jeep / truck tires on a camper vs. trailer tires?

You can google LT vs ST tires and get all kinds of info, but the main thing is sidewall strength.

There is lots of debate over this subject. One of the main reasons that people go to LTs on large trailers is so that they can run down the Interstates at 75+. And that's another controversy all by itself...

LT is softer in the sidewall than ST. LT is designed for traction and softer ride. ST is designed for a following unit, not a driven unit. Following is a different set of design considerations than driven design considerations.

I have run both types and without issues. I would rather run ST's and will as long as Maxxis keeps making them in load range E for 15 inch wheels.
