Trailers: Mileage vs. Time

Do most owners track mileage or time in regard to maintaining a trailer. In reading the maintenance instructions there is a mix of both. I would tend to use time, since there is a lot of time just sitting, but I am learning new things every day. Thanks.

I track both but record mileage only for maintenance events related to the tires, brake and bearings. Everything else I track by date/time only.

I track mileage on my trailer for purposes of axle bearing lube and tire replacement.

As others have said, I track mileage for tires / brakes / bearings and time for most other things...

In addition to both methods mentioned above, I also have a quarterly and annual list of things I check.

I check, lube, adjust everything each year before our traveling season.
