When traveling in a 32BHDS for long distances how is the refrigerator powered?

In my 32BHDS the refrigerator in the kitchen automatically switches over to propane whenever I unplug from shore power. I have traveled up and down the east coast and have not had any issues running the frig on propane.
I do not have the outside kitchen so I do not have first hand experience with the refrigerator there, but have read that it is strictly a 110v unit and when unplugged from shore power it does not work.

Inside fridge is propane when on the move. The fridge in the outdoor kitchen works only on shore power.

There are a few restrictions such as closing propane valves at gas pumps, in some tunnels, etc. But I'll bet most ignore or are unaware of such restrictions. Do your homework, though.

If you have the new type valves on tanks, open them real fast, and you will find the propane is shut off. They are designed to close when they detect a volume escape of propane, such as an rupture. Most of the old rules were due to old type valves that would allow tank to empty. The "close in tunnels and gas stations" is for pilot type flames reaching (gas or propane) fumes.

With modern (new) type propane valves, its the flame, not propane you are concerned about. The problem exist if the gas buildup fumes reaches those flames. Tunnel, could happen, but in open air at gas sta, doubtful. I try to remember to turn mine off.

Unless you have a residential fridge in your rig. Saw lots at the last travel show. They are 110V A/C only I think.

I think many of those are equipped with an inverter to power the fridge while under way, and a bank of 2 or 3 batteries to back them up.
