Smile Traveling- just traded in for new Jayco

I can't believe we did this. I currently have a 2005 23' no slide Jayco trailer. I'm 6 ft and I have a wall touching the end of the trailer queen bed. I can't stretch out. We are on our way back from a California to Florida trip.
Stopped in Camping World on our way back in New Mexico to get some stuff. We looked at a Jayco Whitehawk 27' DSRL. WE FELL IN LOVE, so we bought it! We transfer our stuff tomorrow afternoon and sign the final papers. I hope I made a good choice. It's more than we need, but "what a bed"! It's a major upgrade. Wish we did this at the beginning of the trip.

Welcome to the WhiteHawk family. We also fell under the spell of the 27DSRL just a few short months ago. At the time, we were looking at used trailers for around half the price. You know you've found the right trailer when you look back 3 months later, realize you spent more than double your original budget, and still have zero regrets about the purchase. Enjoy!

Never go shopping on an empty stomach
Congrats and enjoy the rest of your trip. Might want to spend a night or two nearby just in case there's a problem that needs attention

There's a story that goes around my wife's family. They had a lake house they went to almost every weekend when she and her brother were kids. Jeep Cherokee was the family vehicle at the time. As they got older, the ol' "you're in my space" fights kept getting louder from the back seat. So one Friday while on their way out to the lake house, dad had enough. Stopped at the Chevy dealer and traded the Cherokee for a Suburban, and transferred their luggage right there on the sales lot; now they each had their own row of seats! Much quieter rides after that! Sometimes when the target lines up, you gotta pull the trigger! LOL!

Enjoy the new rig!

I think you will like your Whitehawk, we love ours. My wife was never a camper, her family never camped, so this is our first camper together and she feel in love with camping. Before this trailer her idea of ruffing it was a hotel room without a Jacuzzi tub.

White Hawk deal is a no go

I backed out of the deal. My Tundra has only a 1300 lb. cargo capacity. With the new trailer empty hitch weight of 620 lb., it put me about 300 over my max load. So I figured why take a chance on wearing out my vehicle or being dangerous.
