TT Brakes

So after our first trip I noticed that after applying the brakes there would be a squeaking noise. The noise would disappear when applying the brakes and there was no problem with the brakes working. I had them inspected when we bought the TT but never had a chance to pull the drums off to check them myself. I know I should have made time, anyway I plan on taking them off to inspect them.

1. Are there just the same as regular car/truck drum brakes in terms of removal and maintenance?

2. Is there anything that I should be looking for that would cause a squeak?

Cheers

They are very similar to car/truck drums except simpler. You have a magnet on a lever arm that moves the shoes. Be careful pulling the drums as you can damage the inner seal and then it would leak grease.
