I own a lot in central PA where there is no cell phone coverage and tv comes in better at night. With the standard antenna with the wingman added to it, I could get up to 7 channels, but I had to rotate the antenna to get them. I purchased the Jack antenna, mounted it on a 10 roof pole to test it. If it didn't do any better than the factory antenna I was going to return it. I received 10 channels clear and with out rotating the antenna. I was very surprised and happy. Now the part I am not sure about. The following day I mounted the antenna on the mast on the roof of my 17Z. I could get all 10 channels, but they were not as clear and I had to rotate the antenna. The differences were 1. The pole is about 4 foot lower than the roof mount 2. The pole is about 8 feet north of the roof mount 3. On the pole I used the supplied signal booster and on the roof I used the built in signal booster. I plan on experimenting with it again this weekend to see if I can get the "good" signal on the roof. I am going to attach a cable to the antenna and use the signal booster that came with the Jack antenna and see if it comes in like it did on the pole. Any other suggestions are welcome.
