TV hookup problems
I have a Continu:us TV in my 2013 Jayflite 26 RLS. It was purchased used but is/was like new. The TV does NOT work when the cable is connected to the outside cable TV conx but when I connect the Cable, thru the window directly to the TV and do the channel search it works just fine.
I pulled 1 cable thru the inside wall ( the other end was not connected to anything)which surprised me as it should have been connected to something. Another cable is still coming in thru the wall but not sure where it goes. A channel search comes up with nothing available. As the hole inside is very small how do I confirm cable connections to fix it??. Perhaps an RV dealer is required but this cannot be brain surgery?? or is it???

when you hooked up the cable externally did you turn off the antenna booster, if I am not mistaken it must be off for cable

I thought that outside cable connector was to hook up to park provided cable.

While ur at it.... The other white colored wire unit has 1 wire connected to an upper and lower conx on the same side and open connections to 2 leads on the other side. Can u explain which wire(s) should connect there??

If that is your a/b connector plate and no wires are connected on the back side, that is a problem. That is where your cable/satellite signal comes in from outside and if cable, feeds out from the bottom to your TVs. Sounds like someone has disconnected the hookups for some reason. If using satellite, you feed your receiver from the top (a portion) and from your receiver back to your TV via HDMI cable.

I made a little write-up which may help you on how it works.

I tried to access the link from another computer and it didn't work, so I hosted the document here as well:

On my 08 Jayco Jayflight 23 FB G2 the connection box in the trailer from the factory where the cables hook up to inside the trailer was connected wrong. They had antenna cable hooked up to cable connection and cable connection hooked up to antenna. I found this out by doing what you did. Ran a wire straight from the antenna to the TV and then from the park cable hook up to the tv, I had to change the hook up behind the plate in the trailer.

I have run a new cable to the outside cable connection from the inside panel and the tv is working fine bypassing the a/b box and the other box. The old cable is still available at the external connection and inside but id like to know where it runs in the wall so i can find out where the bad connection is...

It should be a single wire running from the A/B plate to the external jack. There should not be any splitters or splices. If there's no signal, then its at the connectors or it got cut / chewed along the way.
