TV Mount Bracket 2016 Jayflight

I have a new 2016 Jayflight 27BHS that has the "swivel" tv stand with the mirror on the other side. It did not come with a television or mount. So I need some help on what type of televison mounting bracket you guys used and what size screws. Also what is the biggest sized tv that can fit in the mount? Thank you in advance!

I have a different floor plan but I am assuming the TV is recessed into the swivel TV stand. I prefer to have a swivel TV mount to gain access to the rear of the TV if needed.

The size & weight of the TV will determine the mount size and bolt pattern. Most 32-40" TV's have a 200mm x 200mm bolt pattern on the rear of the TV.

If you go this route it has to be a locking swivel mount. They have either a chain or strap you pull to unlock it. Then it swivels out to give you rear access.

You can go with a solid mount but the TV will not move out.

Thank you for the suggestions! Are you worried about drilling into the mirror on the other side? I am wondering about what size screws to use?

I don't have your floor plan and the mirror on the back. Although the TV will mount into a recessed area. The bathroom wall is behind my TV area.

I would measure the depth of you recessed area and the total depth of the swivel mounting and subtract to find out how long your screws can be.

Another option would be get a piece of finish grade 1/2" plywood, stain it, and glue and screw it to the back area where the TV is. You could fill in the complete area or just where the TV mount is screwed into. This is probably what I will do.

That way you would be certain to have a solid surface and it would extend the length of the screws you could use.

I'm sure Jayco has a solid surface behind the paneling, just not sure of the size of it.

Great ideas, hopefully I can get an answer from Jayco on the screw depth. Really nervous about cracking that mirror. Wife would tear me a new one!

I would assume the mirror is mounted to the flippy thing. I would dismount the mirror, and use screws with nuts (screw head on the mirror side) to attache the bracket and then reattach the mirror.

Great idea, picking it up in couple weeks. Can anyone with the swivel tv comment on if the mirror can be dettached?

I was told by my dealer to detach my mirror or have 7 years bad luck. I asked Jayco and they said to use nothing longer than a 1/2 inch screw.

I will let you know how taking out my mirror goes.

My plan is to come in from the bedroom side. I have a 32 inch Samsung very light. May be two weeks before I get to try. Several have suggested another piece of plywood for support. However mine is at my duck camp so not moving and I won't need the extra support for now. Thanks for starting this post Born in Blue.

This is only thing about the trailer that I don't like as far as design.

I am ordering a Vizio, any clue if a 40" would fit in there? My 27bhs has a 39" standard

I have a 28 BHBE 2016. A 39 inch will fit mine but my dealer said a 32 inch. I believe do to weight not fitting is the reason.

I do know this they did not try to sell me a TV or install. That tells me that it is not something they like to mess with in this trailer.

No he said use a 32 inch TV. I know a 39 inch fits . That wall I would believe is too flimsy to handle a 39 inch without more support. That is just what I have ascertained from reading suggestions on this site. But don't take my word mine is sitting on my bunk!

I appreaciate the heads up. I have not heard of anyone complain yet about the factory one being flimsy. You think you would have heard. Maybe I will downsize too. Was going to order the tv tonight.

I replaced a 32" supplied by Jayco with a 39" - and I believe the 39" might actually be LIGHTER. The mount is a sturdy beast that can surely hold it.

Also when looking at tvs is it a must that the hdmi hookup is on the side? Was wondering if a got one that only has a back hookup that it could be an issue with the tight space?
