TV mount on 287bhsw

I'm struggling on how to install a TV mount in the open TV access location in our 287bhsw. The dealer said there is plywood there, but I just don't think there is. Now, I know there is an actual sticker in the bedroom that shows where to mount the TV..nothing like that where I want to mount the TV. Just wondering if I'm stuck removing the TV when traveling or if anyone has installed a mount there and if so, how? Thanks! This is my first ever trailer. I'm both intimidated and excited.

I have TVs at both locations, the one in the living area is standing on a stand which is held down by two screws , bedroom one is screwed into a wall stud, there is no plywood at either location, do not follow stickers, fell with your hand the wall, fairly easy to locate a stud, the stickers are offset , will post pictures later tonight, bedroom TV is on a swing arm, no problem at all while driving

Thanks Chata. Screwing the TV stand in is a great idea.

I read your other thread on the 287bhsw mods and found it very informative. Don't be surprised if I ask for more of your advice.

Depends on the AC model you have, give me the exact model number, will look it up for you, 287 bhsw has Colman Mach 3 , they make a control board for all these functions for this model

The living area stand is an original stand that came with the TV,I've cut about an inch from the back side to fit it on the shelf , predrilled two holes and screwed it into the shelf , hope it helps

I mounted my tv in the living area with no problem. First confirmed plywood backing with stud finder. Had to buy shorter screws than came with the mount, of course, but no problems so far. Knock on wood. Only thing I did was add two eye hooks to strap a bungie across the front of TV to keep it from banging the slide while traveling. It's at dealer right now for warranty work. I'll post pics when I get it back.

Mounting TV Wall bracket in 2018 Jayco SLX 287bhsw?

We are going to mount a wall bracket for 24" LCD TV in front bedroom on the stud, under the connection plate and outlet. The lag bolts that came with the mount are about 3" long. Definitely too long for us to use for this wall What size bolts did others use? Not interested in mounting bracket on an additional surface mounted piece of wood.
