Underbelly sagging

Does anyone have a 2011 Jay Flight 19rd? My underbelly/water tank is sitting on the axel. Is this ok?

Welcome to the JOF. It is very likely you will hear from other 19RD owners. It is likely none of them have their water tank & underbelly resting on their axle.

So, to answer your second question, 'No, it is not OK.'

You'll probably need to remove at least part of the underbelly material in order to see why the tank support has failed.

Is your underbelly wet? Could be a leak, with water building up in the belly membrane.

If the FW tank is sitting on the axle you have a problem (it probably means the 3 bolts came loose). If the underbelly is laying on the axle it means you have water on the underbelly. Not a big deal just poke a hole in the lowest point and it will drain (careful not to poke a hole in your FW tank).
If you have to open up the underbelly cut if where the screws are in the cross member. After you can repair it with a heavy galvanized strip from 3" wide and some duck-tape to make it water resistance again.

Thanks for the advice. The trailer has the Thermal Package. I can't tell if it is wet or not, the material if kind of thick. I hate to poke a hole in it, so maybe taking it down would be the best thing. I will try to post a pic. The worst thing then is that when I called the Jayco head offices the guy told me it was ok?... It continues to bug me that it is sitting on the axle. I appreciate the replies! Maybe he just told me that because I am a woman!!

Woman are handy too. Just run the TT on a couple of 2- 2x8-5 ft. and 2- 2x8-55" and chock them very well. Then nose down and it is easy to work on the underbelly in the rear. As far as I know the tank is above the rear axle. When I had a 198RD I put 1/2 ply (34x48") under the FW tank at least it stays flat when filled with water. The 3 pcs. flat iron what holds the tank is easy to loosen up. A small 6 mm hole doesn't hurt in the underbelly at least the water will drain. Lucky you are not in a frosty area otherwise the frost will freeze the pooled water. On many underbelly's water will stay on the front section too, because many units are not sealed off on the front. I cracked a pipe last winter, and in the spring, as the water leaked, it saturated the insulation between the tanks and the underbelly, causing it to sag down and appear to be quite heavy. In fact it was very heavy - full of water.

The tanks do not sit on the axel by design

You need to get it back to a dealer for a look (. I would drain the water tanks before moving it so if it is the tank , your not towing with a ' swinging 400lb ' weight )

The underbelly, if it's like mine, is like a corragated cardboard , except plastic

I have cut "L " shaped access holes in mine and simply tape it closed with duct tape. ( 10 inch long. Peal it down and take a look with a flashlight )
