Hi all! Lokking for a vent cover, which one is best? Do you leave vent open in the storage season? New to this

One of the first things we added to our trailer were Maxx-Air vent covers. The only time we close the vents is when the A/C is on. Otherwise they are open all the time, including when it's covered and stored for winter. Haven't see any condensation issues so far.

We have a Maxxair vent cover that was installed by the dealer while we signed documents. Love it. We keep our vent closed while in storage due to the occasional winds kicking up a lot of dust here in the desert.

I just install my a few weeks ago, but have them close while in storage. The big one is the ac but the other are the vents cover and the Maxxair cover.

This is one of the best mod I did, I believe.

Over the summer, I installed three of the Camco vent covers that I purchased at Walmart. They only carry them in white - which is what I wanted, anyway. I'm very pleased with them so far. Especially since I was able to purchase all three for less $$ than a single MaxxAir costs.

I leave the bathroom one open (just a crack) all the time, and I get virtually no condensation on my windows overnight. Unless you're in an area that has a lot of dust, I'd leave them open a little bit while in storage.

Vent covers

I installed a Maxxair Fanmate. Works great. I like how it attaches as well. I leave the vent cracked.

I leave the vent open about an inch or so in storage and traveling.

The views expressed may not be mine in five minutes.

We went with the WHITE Max Air vents (master bedroom/bathroom). The reason for the white is because we leave them open 24/7 and here in Florida the dark translucent ones get hot in the sun and if the breeze is blowing from the north or south it pushes that trapped hot air back into the TT. Much cooler with white.

Installed 4 Camco vent covers, purchased at our local dealer, on our Octane in May 2014. First one broke and blew off on a trip out west that summer. Replaced it with a free one from our dealer (they had installed them). Right now 2 off them are cracking on the flange that bolts to the clips on the roof/vent. I will replacing all 4 this spring with Maxxair covers. Just my experience.

The Maxxair are hard to beat. The company that makes them also
Makes Marvair air conditioners for the telecom industry.
