Are you trying to open the vent cover on the outside of the TT?

It's hard to open! I can't do it, but have to get my DH to open the thing.

You don't need to open it from the outside just move the tabs down and when you turn the stove fan on it will open all by itself. The tabs keep it closed while your traveling down the road. I know, I know it doesn't make any sense just trust me ( lol).

The tabs push up. When they are new, it feels like you are going to break them before the finally release.

Those tabs are different than mine, Tunce. Mine has two horizontal tabs on the vent door that snap into the vent frame.

Not quite from the dealer, but after opening and closing a couple times. I just leave it unlatched permanently now. Only time I close it is when I winterize, and even then only sometimes ...

The movement to open the vent can be described as "up and out" at the same time. I had a trailer with the little hinged catches before, and the new design is I think much better.

On ours, one side opens easily while the other side doesn't. So what I do is open the easy side enough to get my fingers under it, and lift up while pushing the latch on the stuck side. It sort of works, pushing and pulling at the same time. It's an annoyance, but not enough to find a different solution.
