Warranty About to Expire

Hey all,

I have a Jayco Jayflight 26BHS w/ Elite package. The 2 year warranty is going to be expiring at the end of the year. Is there any type of maintenance work that may fall under warranty that I should bring the trailer in for? Is there anything else I should be taking a close look at?

I've brought it in before for small/misc warranty repairs. Everything seems to be holding up well thus far!

Norty1 - you pique my curiosity - annual roof seal? Count me lazy for not checking my warranty, but should I infer an annual roof seal is a maintenance item within warranty WITHOUT any sort of demonstrable damage?

If I'm understanding, (and I often am not), warranty does not cover routine maintenance.

If there is nothing that you have noticed that needs fixed, then I think you are OK. Warranty work will almost never cover any kind of preventive maintenance or inspections.

Many RV owners recommend Coach-Net for warranty type and roadside coverage.

You are correct, Warranty does not cover routine maintenance. However if you have a roof problem be prepared to show them who inspected it annually.

When I say seal, I mean inspect and seal any places needing attention. The membrane with just cleaning should last many years, unless you are edatlanta.
The weak area is the seams and low hanging branches. Regular inspection will point these out so they can be fixed before a problem develops.

Make sure all systems are working properly. I did not check the fresh water holding tank after purchase and found that the supply line was kinked and would not supply water via the pump. Jayco did reimburse because it was right at the two year warranty.
