Washing RV cover

Hi everyone. Long time reader, 1st time poster. I've learned so much on this forum...

Just wondering what people do to wash their trailer covers? In the past I've taken the cover off and spread it on my lawn and washed away - then draped it over my porch railing to dry.

I'm thinking of washing the cover while it's still on the RV. Anyone see a problem with doing this?

Thanks, Randie

I never thought of rinsing the cover while on the trailer. I do the backyard fence soap and spray, too.

I keep my trailer off my property so it would be a bit of a pain to wash mine on the trailer but I don't see why it wouldn't work other than I wouldn't want to be on the top of the trailer, covered or not, when wet and I'd think you'd want to rinse from the top down.

Also, be careful not to step on anything your not suppose to. Sometimes it's hard to see vents/skylights/antennas, etc. It may get expensive.

I'll be honest it never crossed my mind to wash the cover, nor have I noticed (in the whopping 3 years I've used one) that it gets noticeably dirty. Basically I let the rain do what it's going to do and try to time it so the day I do take the cover off, it's nice and dry and can go directly into the storage bag.
