Washing /waxing best practices

Howdy all,

I am getting ready for some spring camping and thought I would get the coach a fresh wash and wax. I usually use Liquid Glass wax but thought I would see if other have had good luck with other products. Also, I have been reading that some manufactures have recommended against waxing over the decals. I am curious what people do in order to protect the decals against fading/cracking. Thanks in advance.

I've used this for a couple of years now, it works great on my fiberglass sided trailer and has UV inhibitors. Don't forget to wax your slide sides, your seals will love it. https://www.protectall.com/

Here's what I use. It's easy on and easy off. Plus, you can use it on the graphics, rubber seals, glass, etc.

Washing/waxing practices

I just bought a new 2017 28 RLS.

Since it is still in my barn waiting for first trip out next month, I just went ahead and put a coat of TurtleWax paste wax on it.

HOWEVER, I live literally 2 miles from the Lucas factory and have become loyal to the products because of the quality of the products plus my respect for the founder of the company.

With that being said, the Lucas Blue Mist spray is an absolute breeze to use and I will be using it this fall before the trailer goes into barn for winter. THE BLUE MIST HAS UV PRODUCTION! The TurtleWax does not, which is one reason I will be using it.

Now, Love Bug remover is another issue. My retired, uber RV mechanic friend gave me a bottle of his secret stash of bug remover he keeps in a drum in his garage. It does a great job. I hope he keeps me supplied.

The awning is a different matter. I use the commercial product for awning that smells like bleach. However, I do not follow the label directions (upon advice of my mechanic). I merely spray every inch I can get on both sides. I then role it up for a couple of hours and then unroll it. I then take a soft brush on a pole and gently brush every inch I can, and then spray off with copius amounts of water and allow to air dry.

Hope this helps.

We use this as well on our stick and tin TT. We were able to buy it at our local Wal-Mart.

Are there any non-esthetic cons of not washing the trailer? I am fine with dusty car, I would be ok with a dusty trailer.

I have seen several videos that say that Zip floor wax is da bomb.
You can get it at Home Depot or Lowes
