Water Pressure!!!

Ok so I just returned from the dealer after getting a few issues resolved with our 2013 whitehawk 28dsbh. I discussed with them my concerns with low water pressure when hooked up to city water. It has about half of the pressure our 2012 26 bh had. What could cause this? The dealership had no clue and wanted to convince me that the water pressure was fine and was the same as other models. The only way to get good pressure out of this camper is to not use a regulator. Any help would be appreciated.

If pressure is good without the regulator it sure sounds like a blocked or bad regulator. If you are using a standard, off the shelf, RV regulator it probably only has a 3/8 opening for the water to flow thru.

It's the same regulator from our 2012 tt that had great pressure. We have also tried 2 other regulators. This is frustrating.

Try using a bigger diameter and short as possible water hose to hookup with. Long water hoses significantly drop the water pressure. What kind of pressure do you get from the fresh water tank using the pump?

If the regulator is one of the cheaper camco brass regulator that could be the issue. I have had a couple go from good to bad in a matter of seconds as we were using it. One suddenly restricted the flow about 60% almost instantly as DW was doing dishes. The other went from good flow to zero flow over about 2 min as I was rinsing the dog with our outside shower.

Are your valves all in the correct positioning? Is it the same under the pump when it is at full pressure? If the pump is stronger then I would check between the city connection and pump for your issue since it seems you eliminated the regulator.

Is there some sort of a check valve that separates the pump side and city side of the water feed so that when the pump is running, water does not spew back out of the city connection?

If so, just wondering if that may be creating some limits

I checked all the valves and they are open. No air leaks. It has a little better pressure with the pump than city. However it's half the pressure our jayflight had unless we use without a regulator. I'm thinking of getting an adjustable regulator and putting a gauge on it. The dealer said there is NO issue and they all have about this low of pressure. Ohhhhk

I would check the check valve at the city water connection maybe it is stuck or partly plugged

I like water pressure myself and would not be happy without it. Can you check the pressure in someone else's RV that is the same as yours. I wouldn't trust anything that the dealer has to say about it. There could be a line pinched off somewhere or maybe a partially closed check valve. It might have be this way since it was manufactured. I just bought a 2014 Eagle and it has about the same pressure as my old Springdale did which was adequate.
