Question Water Tank Sanitizing.. Help!

First time Jayco/trailer owner. I have 2016 267BHSW trailer and I am getting ready to take it out for the madden voyage. I would like to sanitize the water system prior to our trip. From what I understand you need to bypass the water heater before treating with bleach which of course makes since. There is a series of valves (see pic) and I'm not exactly sure which ones to use to bypass the system. Any help would be much appreciated! (Also any tips on sanitizing for our first time would be great)

Turn the valves the other way to bypass. All horizontal

If your just sanitizing, I run bleach through my whole system.
No need to turn HW tank on.
The bypass is to keep from having to buy 7-8 gals of anti-freeze.
I put about 1/4 cup of bleach to 30-40 gal holding tank.
Run through system and let it set for 4-8 hrs.
Empty/refill/empty again.

That should do it.

This is what I do as well. I would bypass the WH just to keep the bleach out of it.
The valves indicate water flow direction. Parallel to the pipes water flows through. Perpendicular blocks the water. The only downside to bypassing the WH is having to climb under the bottom bunk
We have a 17 267BHSW and have had to figure out a bit by trial and error

I like to sanitize HW tank too.
Just drain tank with drain plug/refill system/drain again.
This will rinse HW tank too.

We just picked up our trailer off the lot, and it had been dewinterized, should we be sanitizing as well? Or is that part of the process our Jayco dealer would have done? Sorry for the silly questions!

Never a silly question. I would play is safe and bleach the system, you never know what the dealer did and its a very easy job to add a 1/4 cup bleach to the water tank open the faucts until you smell let it sit overnight if you can then drain the water tank and flush the lines after refilling the tank.

Thank you! This is just for our white tanks right?
How often throughout summer do you sanitize?

Yes just your white tank. I only do it once in the spring but we use it once every three weeks, if you let it sit in the summer heat for more than a few weeks you may want to hit it again to be safe.

Definitely sanitize the water heater. Our first outing this year we had a horrible odor from the hot water. I flushed the heater and had clumps of clear slime come out. I'm guessing some kind of bacteria growth over the winter.
Do bypass the heater for winterizing. No antifreeze in the heater.
