Wd question...

Congrats on the new camper. Be sure and check out a Blue OX WDH with built in sway control... they are easy to set up and use. A search on here will give you some good reviews of it...

Congratulations on the new trailer, and while you are waiting and researching WD hitches, add the Equalizer brand hitch to your research. Several of us have been very happy with that brand.

A 2017 23RBM has a GVWR of 6,000lbs, and a published UVW of 4,755lbs. The actual "as shipped" UVW may add around 200lbs (4,955lbs).

It wouldn't be out of the question once loaded with cargo the 23RBM could weigh in around 5,600lbs....., desired loaded tongue weight range of 13% to 15% = 728lbs to 840lbs.

Depending on your loading habits, a 23RBM loaded to GVWR (6,000lbs) wouldn't be unusual especially with fluids in the tanks...., so 13% to 15% = 780lb to 900lb desired loaded tongue weight range.

IMO a 800lb rated WDH would be fine under most loaded conditions..., but if approaching the 23RBM's 6,000lb GVWR care should be taken avoiding a loaded tongue weight above 800lbs.

The Reese Strait Line is a great WDH, mine has performed well for over 10 years.
