I pull mine with a 2007 Toyota Tundra 5.7l v8 4.3r 4x4. Average 7.5 mpg. I am barely under my max GCWR by 500lb. Tows very well and has plenty of power to spare. The difference between the Tundra and other half ton trucks is the rear axle ratio, it produces 401 lb. ft. of torque. The problem with this is for daily driving without the TT it only gets 14 mpg, but it's a beast.

I tow our 2009 32BHDS with our '99 Silverado 1500 4x4. It has the extended cab with the 6.5' bed. 5.3 and 3.73 gears. Does OK on flat ground, I can tow it 60 MPH most of the time. If it is windy I'll have to back it down to 50 or so, have towed it between 65 & 70 when it wasn't loaded, I was taking it back for an estimate to repair hail damage. The trip where I ran it 65 I got about 9 MPGs, typically loaded and I run between 55 & 60 I'll get about 9.8 MPG both hand calculated. When it comes to hills, I'm definitely in the truck slow lane.

I pull mine with a 2006 F250 6.0. It does a great job.

If you're getting a new tow vehicle specifically for this trailer, I'd definitely get a 3/4ton of some kind. Both gas and diesel motors will pull the trailer, but diesel will do it better (for a price).

I used to pull mine (until some ******* stole it) with a 2004 Ford Excursion. V-10 gasser with a Broadcaster Active Suspension and a Hensley Arrow. Handles it with ease.

Next up for us (assuming they don't recover our 32BHDS) is a 32TSBH.

Just curious, was it a typo or what is a Broadcaster Active Suspension??

Pulling my 2012 32BHDS with a 2011 F350 6.7 Diesel. I love this setup. The 6.7 has 800lb’s of the torque factory. I can set the cruise on 65 and up or down hill it stays there. I normally don’t use a wdh for around town type pulls. I don’t really need it. Anything over 50 miles I will throw it on.

We have a 33RLDS which weights 8500# dry and gross weight of 10300#. I tow it with a Ford Supercrew with the ecoboost engine. The ecoboost has more than ample power and torque and pulls it with ease. Mine weights 9356# loaded and no issues at all while towing. The equilizer 4pt works great and no sway. I adjusted the equilizer once I had it loaded and took it to a weigh scale and weighed all axles and total weight and set it up accordingly. Gas milage on the flats is 18L per 100km or 15.5 MPG imperial or 13 MPG US running at 110kph Get into constint hill running and its another story....lol.

Cheers

We pull ours with a 2008 F250 Ford CrewCab 8 ft bed. It does great, but you can tell it's back there when we went up steep Hocking Hills, but Hubster feels it didn't "struggle" but wouldn't want to go with any less of a truck. We started off higher and ended up with 9.2 mpg on that trip!

I pulled mine last year with a 2001 Yukon XL 2500 that had the 8.1, that will be sold in the next two weeks. I now pull it with a 2011 Silverado 2500HD CC with the 6.0.

RaveOn - What is your tongue weight with that setup? Just curios as to how the F150 handles the weight.

Should have been Roadmaster, that's the result of the auto spell correct on my Droid. Odds are if one of my posts says something that makes no sense, I am posting from my phone.

I truly believe the big three make great trucks. Its all what you like best. For our family size and style the F350 four door crew cab was best. I had an older tundra and was a great truck for its capacities. Mine came down to features for the price I paid and the fact that Ford told them to go jam their bailout money.

This is welcome news, RaveOn. I just picked up my new truck last week and I'm sure it won't even breathe hard with my 6k lb trailer but we were hoping at some point to upgrade which is why I went with the HD. Sounds like yours is handling it just fine.

When you say "get into constant hill...", are you speaking of gas mileage or ability to tow?

I too am anxious to hear what your hitch weight is though.

Tonge weight is 1023#. As far as "get into constant hill running being another story" is gas mileage goes down which is to be expected. In terms of power in the hills the ecoboost pulls like a bear and doesn't struggle. It pulls hard like a diesel. In tow mode at 110 kph she runs about 2100 rpm where torque is king. In terms of handling the weight no issues. No sway at all. I had to add a spacer washer to my equalizer hitch to bring it up to 5 washers. The trailer brackets are set in the middle position. I had to add the 5th washer as with 4 washers the front end was a but washy but now it's perfect.

Cheers

Thanks... and that's how I interpreted your other comment. Can't wait to give this EcoBoost a test tow but I need to put the 1000 miles on it first as recommended by the owner's manual.

Thanks for clearing that up. I also tow with an EX and am always looking at how others have modified theirs.

How does the Reese Dual Cam work for you? Have you had any performance issues or problems?

The key with the Reese is to get it dialed in correctly. We had it installed the day we brought the TT home. Then we loaded it up to camp. The tow experience was horrible. I needed to have it adjusted again. After some tweaking it finally was good. We then went on a trip to Disney. I was able to do 65mph, had no sway, did not have to fight the wheel and was comfortable with semis passing me. On our way home we were in the middle lane when a bus ahead of us had a tire come apart, I was able to safely and quickly change lanes. For the money it is a great set up.

We tow ours with a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. We have only towed it locally, with an hour of our house. It towed pretty good. We're planning on getting a bigger truck so we can take longer hauls.

We do love this TT!
