What are you pulling your 32 BHDS with?

Hi all. I'm looking for a good tow vehicle. If you have a 32 BHDS, what do you pull it with? Thanks for your input.

I have the 324BHDS which the gross weight is 10,250 lbs. The weights are very close to the 32BHDS. I use a 2006 Dodge 2500 MegaCab with the ***mins 5.9 Engine. It is a very nice combo
Not sure I would want to pull it with anything less, esp. if you go through any mountain areas.

I was pondering a 2010 Ram 2500 Crew Cab. I suspect this would be sufficient. Thoughts?

I see the censor blanked out my engine name. It is the diesel engine uses, CTD is the acronym. Were you thinking of the diesel or the Hemi?

I know if we were to go larger than the tt we have, we would definitely buy a 3/4 ton. We had a diesel 3/4 ton towing the Aljo 5th wheel we owned back in the 90's. It took hills well where the 1/2 ton with the 7500lb tt we have now will go much slower on grades.

I'm towing with a GMC Sierra 2500HD 6.0 (gas)Crew Cab. It came with the heavy tow package. Having that was nice because I didn't need to add anything. It already has a Transmisson Oil Cooler and an Integrated Brake Controller. Tows nice.

That TT needs a 3/4 ton truck to tow it, very nice floorplan.

I towed the lighter 31 BHDS G2 which was scaled at 9K loaded up with a 00 Excursion V-10 (4.30 gears), a 99 Suburban 2500 7.4L and currently a 98 Ford E350 V-10 (3.73 gears). The first two were 4wd which really helps in the snow and when the trailer tires sink into the dirt after having been parked for awhile.

Just completed a trip to Florida from NY towing with my 2004 Ford V-10 Excursion. Towed fine, was able to tow at 65 mph on flat ground but did bog down a little on inclines. Averaged 8 mpg in over 2500 miles.

Sorry it took so long for a reply, but I now have true experience with my set up. My 2009 GMC Sierra 2500HD Crew Cab w/ 6.0 liter Gas Engine tows my 32 BHDS ok. Gas mileage is 8mpg and with a 26 gal tank it means I don't pass a gas station that I can fit into. Without the trailer, it has the best ride I know of, with the trailer I get alot of bounce when I hit bumps, I295 outside of Richmond VA was really bad. I'm thinking about adding Air Bags to fix this. The Gas engine works real hard on hills, but I've never lost speed. Trailer Mode makes a big difference on hills, helps alot.

I also have a 08 2500HD Silverado with the 6.0 Gas engine. I get the same milage as USAR, but I have the reese dual cam hitch and the bouncing isn't that bad. I've also been trying to see if there's a kit for a second fuel tank, as that would make long trips a little easier. If anyone has heard of one, please let me know!

Here is a site that offers a larger fuel tank for the Silverado.
