What size electric tongue jack???

We have a 267bhs and I am strongly considering an electric tongue jack for camping season this year. The manual jack is stamped as 2500# but the electric version looks pretty dainty....

For those that made the swap or have one installed from the factory... What brand & size do you have? and are you satisfied? I am not overly concerned with cost but don't want to spend more than I have to ;-)

3500# would be a good size for your trailer. I have a Barker, 5 years now no problems. Made in USA.

I believe my manual jack was also rated at 2500 but I would up buying a 3500 lb Barker off of eBay from Martel sales (seller ID mtsrv) as he had the cheapest price I could find. I figured I'd go with the 3500 jack since I'm also lifting the back of the TV to get the WDH bars off too....the price difference between the 2500 and 3500 is pretty small anyway.

We did a Husky Brute 4500 last year. Seems to work very well. Oversized it a bit due to lifting the truck and also just because I didn't want it working as hard.

I would go for the biggest I could get, it would work less and last longer. The price is not that much higher

Either a 3500 or 4500 will do. Remember, you are also lifting the truck to hook up the weight distribution bars.

Thanks all!! I will keep my eye out for a 3500-4500# unit. I am usually a 'bigger is better' kinda guy anyway :-)

Our 267BHS has the electric tongue jack. Way better than cranking by hand. Whatever you end up deciding on make sure it will fit the mounting hole.

I found the Husky 4500 on sale at Amazon and picked one up. Installation was a breeze. It lifts the tongue of the camper effortlessly. I was most impresses with the gearing for the manual bypass... Even that is much easier than the old hand crank. I am looking forward to trying it out for real next month . Thanks all for the replies!!
