What tires do you like?

I am fairly new to the TT scene, recently purchased a 2004 Silverado 2500 HD as well as a 2013 Jayco 32BHDS. Needing to put new tires ony truck, and I would like to get some ideas on brands or types of tires other people prefer before I make a choice!

Michelins from now on for me.
They handle great pulling a travel trailer.

I just put on the 3 rd set of BFG'S. The first 2 sets went 45 & 55k. They are just the same as what came on the truck,I can't complain.Larry

I have Firestone Transforce on my Chevy 2500, same year as yours. Here is a recent discussion on these tires, get good reviews here.

Sounds like people are really happy with the Michelins, I also looked at the Firestones. It is very important to me to buy a tire that is made in the USA. What do you guys think about going from a stock 245 75 16 to a 265 75 16? And what Michelins are you guys buying?

Michelin LTX M/S 2.

I have gotten between 80,000 and 100,000 mile on the three sets I have owned.

Put some Uniroyals on our Envoy last year and so far no issues. Got a good deal on them otherwise I would have went with another set of Michelins like what came from the factory.

Michelin all the way. Had BFG on Excursion and I thought they were good until I put on the Michelins then it was like day and night.

My Firestone TransForce HTs are showing no signs of wear after approx. 30-40.000 KMS with half of that towing.

Put Michelin LPX AT2s on my dually. They may be a tad more aggressive than you need because we live on bad road with lots of winter to deal with.

I was thinking more about snow in the winter. I have a 30 min country drive to work in the winter and we can get a lot of snow up here in Ontario

HappyTampers & BOUBOU, all of us up here on this mountain pretty much have to buy the right tires and even the right vehicles to safely negotiate our five miles of decomposed granite down and up from the highway. Then it's another 20 miles to get to a store. Everything for over 50 miles west and 30 east is over 8000', us being at 9000, so snow is fairy constant much of the year. I'd like a smoother, quieter tire and wouldn't mind not paying the extra $ for 4WD all the time, but you can wait a long time for help to drive by, no cell service to speak of. But the OP in Belpre at 600' probably doesn't have to worry about those factors and should probably just get the best buy on a good set of highway tires.
