Where is the voltage coming from?

While installing a solar charge controller on my 2012 Eagle sl 298 rls, I just happened to test the dc lugs at my pd4000. Got a reading of 0.10 volts. The solar panel was fully covered with a wool blanket, and the 30 amp fuse at battery was pulled. There was a wire to my breakaway still connected. Getting feedback from breakaway or was power getting thru four folds of blanket? Solar panel is connected via controller, to dc lugs on pd4000.

1) Maybe voltmeter is giving false reading.
2) Maybe capacitor in charge controller or converter or some other device is still charged a bit. Otherwise, you have fortuitously found a way to make a solar panel produce electricity in the dark!

I would venture to say that there is some light getting past your blanket. Interesting enough, I get a voltage reading in the middle of the night when the moon is shinning on the panel.
