Before you purchase a battery(s), what do you intend on having them power?
- Just regular camping with shore power hookup? (a regular 12VDC marine battery will do just fine)
- Maybe a few days at the max of dry-camping (a regular 12VDC marine battery will do just fine)
- A week of dry-camping (TRUE deep cycle batteries, like T105, T145) True deep cycle batteries do not have CCA - Cold Cranking Amps) ratings on them along with SOLAR and or a generator
- Small Inverter (TRUE deep cycle batteries, like T105, T145) True deep cycle batteries do not have CCA - Cold Cranking Amps ratings on them) along with SOLAR and or a generator
The standard marine/RV 12VDC batteries are only about 80Ah ratings, whereas 2 True Deep cycle 6VDC batteries (Trojan T105's) in series is around 220Ah. Of which you can only use 1/2 of the rated Ah's or you will be slowly killing your batteries. Should allow batteries voltage to drop below 12VDC.
The best thing to do is sit down and see how much power your TT's electronics need (fridge electronics, lights (Regular bulbs/LEDS, Tv, radio...)
...and then you will be looking into solar
Just my thoughts,
Don
