White Hawk 27DSRL

My wife and I are new to the site as well as new to owning a TT. Just purchased a 2017 White Hawk 27DSRL. Took it out to a local state park this past weekend. Loved it!!!! We will be doing this a lot! Everything in the TT worked well. Quite a new experience learning how everything works but a nice relaxing weekend.

Welcome to the forum. We love our 27DSRL; great TT for a couple.

Have added a digital thermostat, which keeps the temp much more even; a Progressive Industries Electrical Management System (EMS) under the table in the back, as well as a detachable power cord. In bath area a new faucet and a Fantastic Fan. Also a sleep number bed.

You will find ways to improve your trailer as you live with it. Lots of info on this forum about doing modifications and also look at the towing section for properly setting up your trailer and visiting the CAT scale.

I am considering this model white hawk and the equivalent Jayco Flight. Looking at a flight with fiber glass siding and windows like the white hawk. Any of you debated between the two product lines? How did you decide?

Steve.

Steve.
We began by looking at the White Hawk, but the Jayflight had some features and options not available on the White Hawk. So it was those differences that swayed our decision to order a Jayflight, not product line differences.

Another happy 27DSLR owner here.
Ours is a 2015 and after two years with 90+ total nights in it I still like it lots.
Other than a new bed and bathroom fixtures it's pretty much stock.

Enjoy your new trailer!

We also own a 2016 WH 27DSRL. After a year of use, we love the floor plan, though there are some issues. First, no pantry cupboard. We have adjusted, but my wife is "vertically challenged" and reaching the high cupboards, especially the one over the sink which is our pantry is not her favorite thing. Second issue is the center bathroom. Its easy to get trapped in either end of the trailer if someone is using the bathroom. Fortunately, there are exterior doors at either end so you can escape but you have to go outside. Third, the furnace really heats up the front bedroom a lot more than the rear living area. I wish it were reversed. We are hooked up to electricity most of the time we camp, so we use a space heater in the living area and rarely use the furnace. However, overall we really enjoy our 27DSRL and are glad we own it!

2016 27dsrl

It is the perfect floorplan for my wife and me. We are not Boondockers so we love finding full hookup locations. Spent too many nights in hotels while working so looking forward to traveling in the White Hawk on retirement in 6 months.

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the forum.

Thanks for all the good wishes. We were only able to camp one fabulous weekend before we decided to winterize. It is going to be a long winter anxiously awaiting our many anticipated nights that we will spend in it enjoying the many sights around the US.

We just got the same model last week. Haven't had a chance to use it yet but soon will. The only problem we have is a lot of the ceiling light switches don't work but the dealer is already working with Jayco to get them replaced. We can't wait to get out in ours! End of the month!

Because you're new to this camper - make sure your light switch on the switch panel (where your slide and awning switches are) is switched on.
It's next to the awning lights switch. If you have that on and the ceiling lights still don't come on then you have an issue.

If you've already done that - Sorry!!
