What I used before was a roadside weigh station that was closed and they left the scale on.
BTW... The hitch that I have is a basic Husky weight distribution hitch.
Additionally, I will be changing the tires to E Rated BFG All Terrain K/Os regardless of the set up.

The RAS and tires will do a lot to tighten up the rear of the truck, loaded or not. One thing I would do is really work on fine-tuning that WDH. I know you're planning to do it anyway, but that's where I would focus a lot of energy. I managed to get good results (proven on the scale) just measuring the fenders very carefully.
Also, one thing that helped with my setup was dropping the tongue just shy of level when all is hooked up (like an inch or so, and it's a 33 ft trailer). Between my RAS and now my tweaked hitch, and the slightly nose-down attitude I'm GTG. Next item will be tires, and after that (maybe) Bilstein HD shocks. At that time I will have done everything I can to the truck short of replacing MAJOR components, or the truck itself!
Very small adjustments will make a lot of difference. Example: I raised my spring bar hangers one hole (less than an inch) and the truck and trailer were completely different (in a good way)
