Why Two Dump Outlets?

Hello All! I am new to this forum, but this is our third trailer. Started with a 23B then went to a cougar 29bhs, and just picked up a 2015 314 BHDS. The dealer was very nice...but there were a couple of questions that they had a hard time answering, and we were in a hurry to get camping. I hope somebody can help me out with this one. There are two dump ports...the exterior diameter is the same, but one has a smaller diameter pipe connected behind it. I have no idea what that one is for. Additionally there are apparently two gray tanks, because there are indicator light for two, but I have no idea how to access it. Finally I do have a black tank flush and I am not sure if all of this has anything to do with that. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You probably have 2 seperate grey tanks. Do you have 3 pull handles or just 2? If 3 the black and one grey dump through one connection and the other is grey alone (the smaller pipe connected to the standard dump connection). The PINNACLE FW we just ordered has 3.

Welcome!

Someone smarter than me will be able to give you a definitive answer, but my guess is that your second dump outlet is one of the gray tanks. I also have two tanks, but both drain through a single outlet - the drain pipes for them are smaller diameter than the sewer. You should have three valve handles under your TT, one for each tank.

The small pipe is to empty the gray water the large one is for black.. I bet they did it that way to keep people from leaving the black tank open all the time..

On my TT one of the three handles farther under the trailer up next to the black tank elbow.

Welcome. Nice unit. I see three handles with pictures online. One is in front of the wheel wells under the large slide out and the other two are between the 2 slides. I have 2 connections as well for the 2 black tanks. Your black tank flush for one is most likely on the door side of the unit and the other should be by your handles. Hope this helps.
