What is the consensus on best practice when storing a winterized travel trailer on a season site with a full sewer hookup? After the trailer is winterized best to disconnect the sewer hose from the sewer connection in the ground? Or is it okay to just leave it hooked up year round?
I would remove the hose. Warm moist sewer gasses will rise, condense on your cold hose/tank and freeze into a solid block. Depending on your hose, pipe connections ice expands and could break your valves or fittings. In my opinion it is not worth the risk, and headaches to fix it in the spring
