Winterizing Question
I plan on cleaning my x17z, removing the battery, and putting RV antifreeze through the water system before storing it this winter. Is there anthing else that is necessary - or adviseable? Thanks for your reply.

Oh man! It's too early to start talking winterizing! :lightning:
Let's keep looking for the sun and many more camping days. 
Yeah, when you do winterize, don't forget the water heater. Drain and bypass before putting antifreeze in.

Drive south so you don't have to winterize. Get a few of the containers that you put crystals in to pull the moisture out of the air. I keep my trailer under a shelter and keep the vents open so the inside temp is the same as the outside temp. No condensation that way.

Some things that come to mind when I winterize: - Remove the battery from the smoke alarm(s)
- Remove anything liquid that might freeze like cleaning items (hand soap, window cleaner, floor cleaner, toothpaste etc)
- Remove all food items (so you don't encourage any critters to enter & stay for the winter)
- If the weather permits, wash your rig and scrub the rubber roof (if you have one)
- Put any items that could be used in an emergency situation in your house (I put the electric heater in my house). I already keep such camping items like sleeping bags, dutch oven, lights, propane stove, hot dog forks, mountain pie irons, etc in the house.
- Optional, but I remove them: Television, DVD/VCR player, atomic clock

Also remove all paper products so any mice that do get in wont have nesting material.

on the go-- You might want to put the battery on a " BATTERY MINDER" for the winter, even if stored in a warm area. I rotate my lawn tractor battery & tt battery monthly. A "minder" ( $25-30.00 at napa) will keep your battery in a fully charged state while in storage. Larry
