X254 here I come!

Hey All,

Newbie here heading out in three days to pick up my new 2015 X254, so stoked. Aside from taking my time and checking everything during the walkthrough (found a pretty good checklist online) any suggestions out there for things to look out for as a "noob"? Any tips specific to the X254 or just walkthroughs in general that one cant find online? Happy to be here! Cant wait to get this thing into the CO mountains!

Congratulations and welcome to the JOF.

You are ahead of things if you have a PDI to follow. I don't recall reading anything online specific to your trailer.

Because you are a 'newbie', I'd suggest you actually OPERATE the things the tech may talk about. For example, the furnace, air conditioner, water heater, etc. If you actually operate them, chances are you will fewer doubts when you haul it somewhere and spend your first night in it.

Take videos with your phone. Then you can go back and watch about the things your not sure about.

Congrats on your new trailer! If you find something broken or not working properly during the PDI, have them fix it immediately. After the papers are signed, you'll have to schedule an appointment with the service department and this usually entails waiting at least a couple weeks just to get a technician to look at it. With the busy season approaching, the wait times to get in for service can increase dramatically. Hope this helps. Have fun!

All good advice, thanks! I like the video idea. Also, just had my Honda eu2000i generator delivered today. Do I want to use a 20amp to 30amp adapter to hook it up to the shore power cord?
