My RV is on a permanent site in central PA. My two slide outs are put out in April thru October.

You are more exposed to rodents and the like with the slides in. The only reason I can see to bring them is to hook up and go somewhere.

Had a Jayco Designer with two slides. We were in a seasonal campground which opened in May and closed in Oct. I kept the slides open from the time campground opened until it closed. Would winterize trailer, close slides, cover trailer with a trailer cover and never had a problem. On tenth year I replaced the tape on slides not because of leak but because it looked like it was time to replace. Loved the trailer, and appreciate Jayco.

I leave mine out from my till Oct as I'm parked seasonally. I have installed awnings over the slides with no issues.
