'12 Sport 10 wiring plug

Looking at picking one up and curious as to the trailer plug style? I'm going from a flat 4 on the Chrysler T&C without the official tow package.

Online manual states 7 (Slot?) connection, but this being so basic, no brakes, no reverse light, etc., seems like overkill. The manual seems to cover all models, not just the Sport 10.

I'd be happy with just the lights.

Welcome to the forum.

You can find adapters to go from 4pin to 7pin at W*mart, autoparts stores and online. One of those should get you the basic trailer lights.

As OldmanAZ said you need an adapter, it will get you running lights, turn signals and brake lights. There are several type of adapters for less than $20, here is a picture of one on Amazon.

If I am understanding you, you have a 4 flat connection on your TV and your trailer has a 7 round connection. If this is the case, then I think what you are looking for is the opposite adapter from the one pictured in the previous reply.
You will need to install an adapter like this.

Would be a bit more pleased if that unit had all 4 wires on the flat4 side to be connected. But as it stands, I'll need to add a ground wire to the frame since only three are attached.

Sundancer:

Sure would be nice if one like this would work to plug between my TV's 4flat and the RV side.

While I grabbed a couple of options, for now I decided to cobble together a male 7 prong RV plug to connect to the camper. Into it I wired a Flat 4 set of wires to the appropriate pins to get me all the lights I needed since she has no brakes installed and for the time being I'll forego the battery recharging while towing.

I had one of the connectors bought but the braintrust opted to only wire 3 wires off of the existing Flat 4 so I'd have to ground the new plug in addition to (possibly) leaving the "extra" wires not connected to anything and then of course attaching it with another bracket.

My cobbling keeps all the wires (and connectors) on the camper and the existing Flat 4 on the TV which keeps it simple for my other trailers.

Thanks for the heads up that it was a 7 prong RV Male connection to get me in the right place.
