1992 Jayco 1206 Deluxe Bag Awning Info

We are trying to find any information available about the bag awning. When we purchased our camper it only came with 3 poles and we are not sure if we have all of the parts or how to set it up. Does anyone know or know where to find information? I have already emailed Jayco parts with no outcome as of yet. any help would be greatly appreciated.

The only bag awning we've had was on a Fleetwood (Coleman) pop up. If I recall, when you rolled it out, there was a metal channel on the edge, with two or three expandable poles attached inside it. These were meant to drop down, and hold the awning up. The three loose poles went from the holes in the channel to the side of the roof. They had rubber crutch tips on them to protect the side of the roof. The big thing to remember, is unzip the awning bag BEFORE you crank up the roof. Otherwise, you'll be looking for something to stand on to reach it. I hope this helps some, as yours may be different.

I just traded in a 2012 Jayco 1206.

Provided your awning is the same, the awning should have a total of 6 poles that you take down and store and then a long longitudinal pole that is made into the leading edge of the awning.

There should be three spring loaded poles with rubber bumper tips to go against the camper that support the awning itself and three "push button" adjustable poles for the uprights.

The rubber tip poles have a pin on the end that slide through the hole in the top of the vertical support poles and into holes in the longitudinal pole that is made into the front edge of the awning.

Hope this helps.
