2011 Jayco 1207 Crack in Roof

Good afternoon folks. I have a 2011 jayco 1207 Popup camper. I was in a storm on Sunday morning and a limb hit the top of my roof. It put a crack about 2 inches long and a small hole in the top layer about the size of a marble or smaller. Can anyone give me suggestions on how to repair the roof? I called the local RV dealer and they told me 600 bucks, which I knew was crazy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can post a pic later tonight, if needed.

Same thing happened to ours, same model year, and we replaced the whole roof. Homeowners insurance paid for it but with a $1000 deductible. I wish now I hadn't spent the money, should have just silicone caulked the hole and put Durabond over it, would have held just fine. Other owners told me they did that and it worked fine for years.
p.s. I think the product name is Durabond but maybe I'm wrong; it's a waterproof, flexible and very sticky tape. Available at all RV dealers and stores. Someone else can verify the correct name I'm sure.
